The pay scale of the music video industry is set to rise to $1.4 million per minute from $930,000, according to data released Thursday by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The $930 million mark is the median salary for video creators and $1,500 per 1,000 views.
The median pay for music video artists is $300,000 per video and $700,000 for YouTube videos.
The median YouTube video is watched 4.4 billion times, with $1 billion being earned from video ads.
The average pay of YouTube videos is $1 million per video, according the RIAA.RIAa’s survey found that video ad revenue is expected to grow from $15 billion in 2014 to $28 billion in 2021.
The data shows that digital revenue will be $10.7 billion in 2019, $7.4 trillion in 2020 and $5.3 trillion in 2021, with the average annual growth of 4.8%.
